Apart from the high-profile matches, WrestleMania is known for sequences that not many expect. In the ongoing marquee event at SoFi Stadium, several such moments have been created. From internet celebrity KSI’s entry to rapper Snoop Dogg chaperoning Rey Mysterio, there was no short supply of surprises on day 1 of WrestleMania 39.

On day 2, it was Shane McMahon who continued the trend by making his return to WWE. The junior McMahon was away for more than a year before his appearance at The Grandest Stage of Them All. However, it was short-lived.

Minutes after he entered the ring, Shane McMahon suffered a leg injury, forcing intervention from medical staff. McMahon was apparently going toe-to-toe with The Miz, after the match was commissioned by Snoop Dogg on-spot.

Meanwhile, fans were left worried about Shane-O-Mac’s health.

Shane McMahon’s return was marred by an injury

What Shane McMahon lacks in wrestling skills, he makes up with his energy. The 53-year-old performed his trademark jig inside the ring before the match. Seconds after it began, he started throwing punches at The Miz, cornering the latter. McMahon even dodged an attack from his opponent, by jumping high.

However, when he landed, he possibly hurt his knee and needed medical attention. The moment sent Twitter buzzing with reactions.

One fan tweeted, “RIP Shane McMahon’s knees.”

Another said, “Wow sad as hell. Reminds me when Vince ran in and messed both his legs up on the apron. I really hope Shane is okay!”
