The Rock might be busy playing the most loathed heel in the WWE Universe right now, but in another universe, he’s acknowledging the fans’ unwavering support and love in a loud pitch, representing the natural aficionado in him. And the other universe in question is UFL, the Rock’s co-owned football league.

The WWE Champion shifted his focus from the squared circle for a while to greet fans to a booming UFL inauguration session last night. Let’s take a closer look at the event.

‘The Rock’ started shaping his childhood passion for football by owning a bankrupt XFL alongside Dany Garcia, and the RedBird Capital Partners for a lump sum of $15 million. Despite meeting some initial drops in the business, The Rock continued to play the guardian angel of the league, taking consistent actions for its development.

Back in December last year, Johnson, alongside Garcia, took another landmark step by signing a merger between XFL and UFSL and dubbing it UFL, a brand-new league for the enhanced potential of the overall growth of US football. Now as the league is rapidly approaching the inaugural session featuring the Arlington Renegades and Birmingham Stallions, reigning champions of the XFL and USFL, respectively, Johnson got the ball rolling with his captivating speech.

”I wanna say to the players of the UFL, the coaches of the UFL, everybody involved in the UFL, I wanna say thank you. But most importantly to all the UFL fans, every single one of you here today, we thank you, we love you, let’s ball out baby”, Johnson whooped and so did the crowd.

While it remains to be seen whether the session catches on big time or not, Johnson has high hopes.

Shortly after the kickoff between the two teams competing on Saturday night at Texas, the co-league owner sat for an insightful interview where he admitted to being extremely fortunate as a part of the banger season opener and the entire league as a whole. He found bliss in his ability to create opportunities for youngsters and to play a part in their football dreams.

”So, many years later, I have an opportunity to stand a league up. In the spring, I thought we found some great success in our first season of the XFL. USFL found some great success too in their first two seasons. And I love the fact that we converged together, wanting to create one opportunity here.” The visionary entrepreneur and an ardent football freak elucidated.
