The Brahma Bull of WWE was touched by his story and came personally to meet him and give him a warm hug. However, this prompted Zidane to claim this to be a PR Stunt to improve Johnson’s image.
This is great PR that distracts from the fact that UFC fighters are forced to wear Dwayne Johnson's Project Rock shoes as part of a sponsorship deal but don't see any of the proceeds from the lucrative deal. https://t.co/C28pv2rjiT

Zidane would bring up the infamous shoe deal The Rock has with UFC, and use it to base allegations against Johnson. He stated, “This is great PR that distracts from the fact that UFC fighters are forced to wear Dwayne Johnson’s Project Rock shoes as part of a sponsorship deal but don’t see any of the proceeds from the lucrative deal.”
However, after hearing about his struggle, Johnson helped out Gorimbo financially. But his aid was called out as a PR stunt, by journalists and fans. And as soon as these allegations went viral, the internet came together to show an array of mixed reactions.
Fans react to recent PR stunt allegations against Dwayne Johnson’s latest visit to Miami
Last year, Johnson signed a lucrative shoe deal with UFC, which saw him and UFC making money on it, but not the fighters. This incident also led to Nate Diaz react harshly to it. Fans online were divided over these allegations and The Rock’s recent actions.
Or maybe just a real emotional moment from a fighter happy to see one of his childhood heroes? https://t.co/Epq9pROamq

The implication that Karim made is that this PR is to distract from his negative press. They're in fact not mutually exclusive, nor should they be. I don't know the contract that was negotiated, but implying the rock is a bad person because of it seems like a fallacy

One fan came on Twitter and portrayed his evident hate for Dwayne Johnson.

While another fan claimed that both Johnson and Gorimbo had trapped each other using their “7 bucks” technique.
They both fell for each other's '7 bucks' scam:
-Gorimbo because he bought into Rock's brand.
-The Rock because Gorimbo definitely used the '7 bucks' amount on purpose.

$7,000 for stinking worn ufc gear no wonder UFC fighters don't give a damn about none of that 😂

However, amidst all the negative discussions, another fan stepped up and defended Dwayne Johnson, while putting the blame on UFC.

It is still unknown whether this was a PR stunt, or Johnson genuinely wanted to meet the fan. Whatever it is, Gorimbo was delighted to meet Johnson, and it was evident from the way he hugged the 51-year-old when he met him.
