Vince McMahon is notorious in the wrestling business for being bossy and giving orders. Since McMahon’s takeover of his father’s company, the American has usually had his way in his bid to propel WWE to the behemoth it is today. He has been making a killing for more than four decades and continues to do so. But will this ability and presence hinder the WWE’s massive deal with Endeavor?

As we all know, Endeavor, the parent company of the UFC, recently acquired WWE. So, it is quite clear that there is a boss above McMahon as well. But having been able to make his own decisions for such a long time, how long will McMahon be willing to sit down and follow instructions? A WWE legend suggests that it is likely to not last for a long time.

On the Joe Rogan Experience, the host and Ric Flair talked extensively about Vince McMahon’s deal with Endeavor. Flair said, “Endeavor just bought the WWE. How do you think that will work out?” Rogan says, “They know how to promote things. Hopefully, it will just get bigger.” Ric agrees and then says, I just can’t see Vince taking any orders. That would be a strange one for me.”

Before this, the speakers were just discussing how McMahon revolutionized the wrestling industry. But history has showcased that revolution takes risks and risk can only be carried out by a single person, not an entire company. So when Flair mentions that he can’t imagine McMahon taking orders, it means McMahon has never had the experience of being shut down by a boss in his career.

So, even though it is quite a massive deal, it could fall out. While we know that Endeavor CEO Ari Emanuel will never fire McMahon, because of the costs and salaries that Endeavor is liable to pay, it will be McMahon who could back out from it. Disrupting an enormous deal would be foolish but Flair has a point. Just look at McMahon’s past decisions.
