Vince McMahon is one of the polarizing figures in wrestling history. Despite many wrestlers considering him a beloved father figure, many others consider him a cancer to the wrestling business. Recently, a WWE Hall of Famer expressed his disappointment in the actions of McMahon and had some unsavoury words to describe him.
Upon his return to WWE in 2016, Goldberg, a WCW legend, experienced an unexpected career resurgence, engaging in multiple matches over the following six years. He even achieved the WWE Universal Championship on two separate occasions. After slamming McMahon in an interview he also compared him to Dana White.

However, Goldberg’s impressive legacy rightfully earned him a place in the Hall of Fame. But his exit from the company was unexpectedly sudden, leaving fans without a proper and fitting farewell. His final match unfolded against Roman Reigns at Elimination Chamber 2022.
During a conversation with Steven & Captain Evil, Goldberg opened up about the absence of a proper retirement match. He also shed light on his relationship with McMahon, providing insights into the circumstances surrounding his departure.
He said, “Vince is like Dana White. He’s the big boss and he makes everything happen, and in all honesty, he gave me the opportunity to put my wife and son on the front row and gave me the ability to perform again in front of them. So, I owe him everything.” He compared McMahon to UFC’s Dana White and thanked him for letting him perform.

But he also added, “Until we went to Saudi Arabia and he asked me to put Roman Reigns over, and I had COVID. I remember calling him from my house and said, ‘Listen, here is the deal. I’ll do it if you give me a retirement match.’ I did what he asked.” At 56, dealing with post-COVID recovery, he was conscious of his physique considering he was unable to work out for a few months.
Despite the hurdles, he navigated the circumstances to make sure to do the match with Reigns and put him over. He ended it up by saying, “The problem is, he never held up his bargain. So, Vince is a piece of sh*t as far as I’m concerned.” He didn’t mince his words while letting his frustration out.
