It looks like Colby Covington has the utmost respect for WWE legend Kurt Angle. Well, the main event of UFC 296 became proof of this yet again when  ‘Chaos’ entered the T-Mobile Arena but had the theme song of Kurt Angle playing along with his entrance.

Colby Covington pays homage to Kurt Angle yet again

The much-anticipated main event of UFC 296 will conclude soon. However, the entrance of Covington was something that stole the show. The former UFC champion entered to battle against the formidable welterweight champion Leon Edwards with the theme song of Kurt Angle playing and the crowd inside the arena playing to the chorus and chanting “You Suck”

Moreover, Covington had the national flag of the United States and even dapped up Donald Trump before entering the Octagon! It was surely not surprising for the faithful of both sports since Covington similarly entered the arena in the past as well.

Covington has done it before as well

To much of everybody’s surprise, Covington has used Kurt Angle’s theme song before as well. One of the instances could be from 2019 when he sent the audience into a frenzy. It was before his fight against Robbie Lawler that he made an entrance and shocked the crowd with the same theme. Moreover, the crowd also enjoyed it, as they couldn’t help but start chanting “You Suck” as he walked towards the octagon.

He later revealed that it was certainly a blissful experience for him, as he wanted to make the entrance to that iconic theme song for a long time. Also, the 35-year-old then approached the WWE Hall of Famer to get his permission for that move. However, Angle didn’t actually know who Covington was but later granted permission since he came to know Covington’s mastery inside the Octagon.

Well, after that, he used the same theme song time and again, as the fans also saw him entering the arena in his match against Kamaru Usman at UFC 268. Also, don’t forget his intense battle against Jorge Masvidal at UFC 272. He walked down the aisle with the same song playing behind.
