While we are hours away from the 2024 Royal Rumble, the preparations for WrestleMania 40 are already underway. The company is planning to have the grandest of shows on April 6 and 7, 2024, at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It has been recently revealed that WWE has decided to get a 4-time Grammy winner on board for the theme song of WrestleMania 40.

WrestleMania 40 will have The Weeknd fever

According to reports, The Weeknd will be returning for the fifth time to provide the theme song for WrestleMania. His song, Gasoline, from his latest album, Dawn FM, will be used as the official song for the 40th anniversary of WrestleMania. For WrestleMania 39, the singer’s Less Than Zero was used as the official theme song for the Premium Live Event.

Able Tesfaye is a Canadian singer/songwriter who is known for songs such as Can’t Feel My Face, Hills Have Eyes, & many other songs. However, his 2016 album, Starboy helped him achieve fame, especially for the track, Starboy. His latest album, Dawn FM also features famous actor and comedian Jim Carrey.

For the WrestleMania 38, the singer’s hit single Sacrifice earned the spot and became the PLE’s theme song. For WrestleMania 37, Save Your Tears from his 2020 album, After Hours was used.

While The Weeknd has been collaborating with WWE for the last five years, other famous artists have worked with the company too.

Fans of WWE are familiar with CM Punk’s entry song, This Fire Burns. The contribution to the song goes to the famous metal band, Killswitch Engage. The song was first used by Randy Orton. However, weeks later, it was handed to CM Punk who had embraced the lyrics. Hip-hop star Snoop Dogg also has a long-standing relationship with WWE. The partnership between the two started with the WrestleMania 26 for which Dogg wrote the theme song. Years have gone by and Dogg has now become a part of the WWE Hall of Fame.

Few other metal and rock bands like Motörhead and Disturbed became a part of WWE as the bands have contributed to WWE with their music. However, one theme song that fans have loved over the years is The Undertaker’s entry song, Rollin’. The song was first revealed to the fans at the WrestleMania 19 and fans went crazy after realizing how good it suited the Deadman.
