For performers and entertainers who come from different parts of the world to the United States of America, there is a feeling of keeping their native land’s spirit alive in themselves. That is the reason why so many European wrestlers in WWE currently, like Drew McIntyre, Sheamus, Gunther, and many more, showcase their culture through their entrances or matches.

So, it comes as no surprise that on the birthday of this Irishman, who is associated with both MLS and WWE, Sheamus sent him a heartwarming message of congratulations.

Kevin Patrick, the announcer who sits beside Corey Graves on commentary on Monday Night Raw, just turned 28 today. Former WWE champion Sheamus sends a video to his fellow Irishmen to celebrate this. We could view Patrick’s live reaction thanks to his presence on the MLS show where he also does play-by-play announcing.

In the video, Sheamus said, “Happy birthday to you mate. 28, huh? We’re so proud of you man, the young Irishmen coming over to the United States of America. Killing it on Raw, and killing it on MLS as well. Showing the world how big MLS is, you’re flying the flag for Irishmen. We’re all proud of you, I’m proud of you.

This isn’t the first time that Sheamus called out another Irishman on the internet. But the last time he did it was threatening and directed towards none other than MMA celebrity Conor McGregor. But unlike McGregor, who has had a significant impact on American pop culture, Patrick isn’t at the same level of fame as the martial artist. So, why did Sheamus give him such a big congratulatory video message?

While more than his face, Kevin Patrick’s voice is more recognizable to both WWE and MLS fans. But while the man only started working in the WWE last year in October, his roots with MLS go way deeper. For the past 10 years, Patrick has been doing commentary for MLS matches on various news channels.

But now, he has scored big by getting a job with MLS themselves, and also with Apple TV, who’ll be broadcasting it through their streaming service. So when Sheamus mentioned Patrick’s involvement with MLS and its growth, he wasn’t kidding even a bit.
