Roman Reigns has time and again proven that he is worthy of holding the WWE Undisputed Universal Championship. Although using various antics that may be regarded as ‘cheats’ by some, Reigns has shown that he is willing to go to any extent to defend his title. And he proved his prowess yet again as he overcame all odds and emerged triumphant in a Fatal 4 Way match.

Roman Reigns retains yet again

At Royal Rumble 2024, The Tribal Chief had to protect his Undisputed Championship against three talented WWE top stars, LA KnightRandy Orton, and AJ Styles. Yet again, “The Tribal Chief” came out victorious in the Fatal-Four way Match that was put forward by Nick Aldis.

Despite facing insurmountable odds, the champion proved his prowess by decisively retaining the title. Using slight help from Solo Sikoa, Reigns gained a slight advantage over his three opponents.

Consequently, he ended up coming out victorious in the match by pinning down “The Phenomenal” after their face-to-face confrontation toward the end of the match. Reigns successfully carries on his title reign at 1245+ days.

While it must be frustrating for some fans to see the Head of the Table defeat three faces in a single match using unethical antics, some would be happy with the decision because this moves Reigns closer to facing Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 40.

Cody Rhodes’ ‘story’ with Roman Reigns seems to be in danger

Recent reports from wrestling industry insiders suggest that Cody Rhodes’ ‘Complete the Story’ storyline may be endangered due to alternate plans that the Stamford-based company has to go with in the future. According to Sports Illustrated, “The American Nightmare” won’t be seen in WrestleMania against Roman Reigns.

This is because the alternative plan in WWE is to put Reigns against Dwayne Johnson for the Universal Championship. Although there is speculation that “The Tribal Chief” will end up winning against his elder cousin, it still tells us that Johnson may take up Rhodes’ place at Mania this year.

However, the former AEW star wouldn’t be sitting in his home during the event. Rather, the same source suggests that he will face CM Punk in WrestleMania. Although the main event for the second night would most probably be saved for “The Rock”, Punk and Rhodes may face each other during the main event of the first night.
