Being a former player of the Miami Hurricanes football team, Dwayne Johnson knows what it takes to be a good football player. Being an avid fan and supporter of the game, he has kept an eye on different coaches and the methods they use. One such coach he admires is Deion Sanders, also known as Coach Prime. Recently the owner of XFL defended the coach for his unconventional and unapologetic way of coaching that has created winners.

According to Johnson, he “tore that playbook”

That’s what The Brahma Bull believes. Recently, in an article published by Times Magazine, the 51-year-old star shared his thoughts on Sanders’ coaching methods. He said, “In the world of college football, there is a certain expectation of how coaches should be and how they should act,” implying that there is a rulebook on how coaches should act and coach college teams. He then added, “(Coach) Prime tore that playbook up and threw it out the window.” Implying that the coach is a trailblazer and was not interested in going by the book.

Sanders was hired as the coach of the Colorado Bulls, a football program representing the University of Colorado Boulder in college football at the NCAA Division I FBS level. He joined the team in December 2022 when the scorecard of Buffaloes was 1-11 for the year 2022. Since then, the team has been performing well since his joining. But the coach was both commended and oftentimes criticized for his methods. He is known to be blunt and harsh with a pinch of truth. He once said, “I think truth is good for kids.”, implying that his methods are for the sake of the players.
