Many times WWE stars are seen in various other arenas due to their popularity. One such name that popped up once again is that of Goldberg. The WWE veteran was present at the latest Atlanta Falcons games against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. However, he decided to add a hint of pro wrestling on the field during the game.

Goldberg performs his signature move

A clip shared by sports anchor Maria Martin on her X (formerly Twitter) account sees Bill Goldberg making his way to the field. The star was present at the Mercedes Benz stadium this Sunday for the Falcons game. However, in the “absolutely epic moment” shared by Martin, Da Man decided to spear a Dirty Birds fan who was wearing a Tom Brady jersey on the field. The WWE Hall of Famer who was wearing the Falcons’ merchandise was seen throwing his cap away and then spearing the fan.

The receiver of the spear realized that it was a joke and acted accordingly. Even Goldberg did not go to the full extent that might end up hurting the person. Following that, the mascot of the team came to give him a replica championship belt, after which Goldberg shouted his iconic catchphrase into the mic.

Goldberg was known for his iconic spear during his time at WWE. Along with his signature spear, the Hall of Famer had another move called The Jackhammer in his arsenal. The two moves were known to leave the opponent in shambles as he made his way to victory.

But his iconic spear might be a product of his previous career. After all, Goldberg has been tackling people since 1990, six years before his pro wrestling debut.

Where was Goldberg before WWE and WCW

Born William Scott Goldberg, the Oklahoma resident is known for his time as a defensive tackle in various major and minor football leagues. His first gig as a tackle came when he received a scholarship at the University of Georgia, where he was a part of the Georgia Bulls. Following that, he became part of many teams such as the Los Angeles Rams, Sacramento Surge, and eventually the Atlanta Falcons in 1992. However, he was released from the Falcons in 1995 and was drafted by the Carolina Panthers, which happened to be an NFL Expansion team. But it looked like faith had other plans for him.

An unexpected injury occurred in which in his own words, he ended up tearing the lower abdomen off his pelvis. As he was not re-drafted on any teams, he shifted his focus to powerlifting and mixed martial arts. During this time, he was spotted by Lex Luger and Sting who persuaded him to join pro wrestling. Goldberg who was a bit reluctant at first, decided to try WCW on June 23, 1997. Following that, he ended up having an undefeated streak at the promotion and also worked on many other circuits. He eventually made his way to WWE back in 2003 and is famously known for his work there.
