There are only a few people who have achieved mastery in their respective fields as much as Tom Brady in NFL. The NFL legend is highly regarded by everyone who has ever seen American Football as the Greatest of All Time for many reasons. To compare a living legend to Brady is like evaluating them on a higher pedestal altogether.

But former WWE champion, Edge, recently called The Undertaker as the Tom Brady of WWE. Whether you agree or not, there is an argument to be made and Edge has his reasons.

Hopping onto his fellow WWE wrestler, Logan Paul’s podcast, ImPaulsive, Edge talked about a variety of things. From his comeback to his personal life, he talked about everything that’s made him stand in the ring with the best in the world. While talking about one of the greats he wrestled with, the Rated R superstar compared him to none other than Tom Brady.

While talking about Taker, Edge said, “In terms of longevity, longevity at the top, that’s the hardest part. To be able to maintain it. To be able to be a Tom Brady. Yes, what we do is entertainment. You still have to be in great shape, mentally, there are so many plates that you have to keep in the air. To be able to do all those things for that long.”

To Taker’s credit, he wrestled for three decades, which is an abnormally long time for a wrestler, especially in WWE. Then, just like Brady, Taker also showed that he is able to change everything about himself, seeing the surrounding landscape change as well. Even though he has had 15-20 injuries, he never took a massive break from wrestling, just like Brady in NFL

But this is not the first time that a wrestler has compared Brady with another wrestler. Surprisingly, it was John Cena, who once compared himself with the legend.

The past history between Edge and The Undertaker

It is not that Edge talked about Taker while looking at his career in hindsight. Edge has been one of the rare wrestlers in the WWE today who had the honor of wrestling Taker.

The two battled in a gruesome match at WrestleMania 24 for the World Heavyweight Championship. While Taker had two classics in the next two years at ‘Mania, he also put on a stellar performance with Edge.

So, as it is coming from a personal experience for Edge, Taker isn’t very far away from being wrestling’s Tom Brady.
