Dwayne Johnson‘s newest venture, XFL is recording a new success as its 11 players signed for the NFL training camps. Playing for the NFL, one of the most prestigious football leagues in the United States is a dream for every young footballer. Hence, producing some NFL-caliber talents is nothing less than a matter of pride for a football league like XFL.

Although eighteen XFL players have already signed with NFL teams before 2023, this latest spree of signings from XFL to the NFL will add to the league’s worth even more.

Fans reacted after The Rock’s XFL recorded a new success

The Rock spent a whopping $15 million to revive XFL from bankruptcy back in 2020. DJ, along with a group of investors including his manager, Dany Garcia, bought the entire league and put all his efforts to make it a success ever since.

Last Saturday marked an important day for the league as it wrapped the session up with an impressive match between the Arlington Renegades and DC Defenders. DJ thoroughly enjoyed that night with his eldest daughter, Ava Raine, by his side.

However, the ultimate surprise for The Rock was yet to come as the top 11 players from his league sealed their places at the top most league of American football, NFL. DJ retweeted the news with a caption, expressing his utter excitement for the massive success of the budding talents.

DJ wrote in the caption, ”So cool and grateful to see this – how impactful our @XFL2023 is becoming to growing and expanding the game of football. By the time @NFL camps begin this fall, we’ll have 60+ players signed to NFL teams.”

However, it garnered mixed reactions from fans on Twitter. While most of them seem really elated at the news, a few become harshly critical of the stance.

Fans congratulate DJ and the players of the league for achieving this feat.

Some believe XFL’s players really deserve huge appreciation since they proved their worth.

However, there are a few who put pointed out XFL’s secondary status.

Some even questioned the future of XFL if talents continue to jump into NFL.

However, regardless of the opinions and reactions, DJ seems fully invested in the success of the players as he deeply connects with their emotions.

The Rock previously stated he will cheer for XFL players rising to the NFL court

The Rock previously made his stance crystal clear on those XFL players aiming for NFL. Johnson, who himself is an avid football fan, can relate to the emotions of the young players of his league very well.

Through an Instagram post, DJ noted that he will cheer for the players, making it to the NFL as it was his dream league too. Johnson wrote, ”Laying for the @NFL is every player’s dream–I know because it was my dream too. And all our players who get “the call” to go to the NFL ~ I’m always gonna be right there rooting you on to make it and make it big!!”

He kept his word and congratulated the players wholeheartedly in the post. Given how XFL was structured and scheduled before the beginning of the NFL’s new season, The Rock is already achieving his aim of giving footballers a platform to showcase their talents before they can move to the bigger league.

XFL acting as a springboard for players to jump to NFL might be a more sustainable model for DJ in the long terma and he seems to be in full support of it.
