Over the years, there have been many people that Dwayne Johnson has helped. Whether it was in the WWE industry or Hollywood, Johnson never misses a chance to help people. But in his current venture, he has basically multiplied that help by a thousand. His recent venture is the rebuilding of the twice-failed XFL league, which he bought from his former boss, Vince McMahon. Now, he is helping many people through this new league and this ex-NFL veteran is a prime example.

How Dwayne Johnson’s new venture helped this ex-NFL veteran

On the Pivot podcast, Johnson talked about a lot of things. From his past rejection from the NFL to his big success in WWE, Hollywood, and other ventures. But when he talked about the XFL, one of the hosts, Fred Taylor, an ex-NFL veteran had something to say about it.

He started by telling everyone else how Johnson’s League of Opportunity, XFL, has helped many veterans and players who the NFL doesn’t draft. While he took many names, including many coaches and former players, the one he wanted to thank Johnson for, was his son.

After a few years in the big league, COVID hit and in the next draft, he wasn’t picked. This left the young star in a state of unrest. But Johnson’s XFL helped him regain his confidence and get back in the game.

He mentioned, “But no bullsh** no sugar coating, I thank you personally because I got tired of my son texting me, Dad, what I’m gonna do? But no thank you man for just for everybody and inspiring the notion that there is an opportunity outside of the NFL but even to get back to that if it does happen.”

In the past, we have seen that whenever Vince McMahon tried to start an XFL league, it failed, both in 2000 and 2020. While the reasons were differed, the main one was that McMahon was trying to compete with the established league. But Johnson doesn’t want to do that.

In an Instagram post, Johnson made it clear that his XFL is a place for people to rebuild themselves. This has already led one player to get back to the NFL. By doing this, Johnson gave the public an alternative to watch football as well. He is also helping the community to get back on their feet even after turmoil.
