Dwayne Johnson Clears Out the Relationship Between XFL and NFL Which Involves Special Opportunities for the Former’s Athletes

There’s no denying the fact that Dwayne Johnson is a jack of many trades. In the sports industry, he isn’t just associated with WWE but quite closely with football. The list of his successful ventures also includes XFL, whose relation with the NFL seems quite complicated. Thus, to shed light on it, The Rock and her business partner spoke with clarity. 

Both these football leagues are entirely different in terms of their approach. There are several broadcast features that are initially deployed by XFL but are currently seen in NFL games, too. Secondly, XFL is perceived to be driven more toward entertainment which makes it a different experience than NFL. However, now the owners revealed their association with the NFL.

As per the disclosure by The People’s Champion and her ex-wife and current business partner, Dany Garcia, XFL is collaborating with NFL. The partnership is for sharing data and ideas in focal areas. This will then enhance player safety, equipment, and game rules, the essential elements of the sport. 

Speaking to USA Today, Garcia said, “We continue to stay close (with the NFL). We have collaboration, we have dialogue. Obviously, our rule changes are having a wonderful influence and are now being considered and examined – as they should be, as was the intent.”

After this, The Rock shed some light on the relationship between the two leagues. He straight-up clarified that there isn’t any competition between the two. He said, “there is no competition.” 

It’s no secret that under the ownership of The Great One, XFL has done some unimaginable things. However, now he also mentioned how the league has concentrated more on designing its schedule for the players. With this, now they can latch on with an NFL team in May. Along with giving special attention to the player’s health, the collaboration will come with great opportunities for all the players.

Garcia also pointed out that this collaboration between the leagues will result in a sharing of useful insights and practices between the two. Then, it will evidently reflect on the game of football and the overall ecosystem of players.
