Three years ago in 2019, former NFL player Warren Sapp appeared on the Rich Eisen show. He had spent a good amount of time with The Rock playing football at the University of Miami. The former Oakland Raiders player praised Johnson for his lifestyle.

Sapp said, “No, no we are fine. I’m not waking at 4:30 in the morning and going to the Prima Prize gym to lift with him. He has a jet, family, and everything it’s wonderful. Go ahead and do your thing. I love watching the movies, love watching.”

He added, “Like I said I love watching the movies and I would love to come back to the University of Miami like we played in Florida, the kick-off. (But) He’s not there.”
