Apart from being born in the same year, 1977, John Cena and NFL’s Tom Brady have a ton in common. For years, the two icons of their field have been compared to one another. Both men boast numerous championship titles and are known for their exceptional athleticism and work ethic. Despite never really being seen together in public, fans have been craving for the two to come face-to-face. Cena recently hinted at what could be the opening door for the two to be seen together.

John Cena asks Tom Brady to call him for a chance to feature in a movie together

Cena recently appeared as a guest on ESPN’s First Take. He engaged in discussions about his career in acting and the current state of the WWE with WrestleMania XL ahead. Near the end, the host started talking about NFL legend Tom Brady. He jokingly mentioned that Cena’s move to Tampa Bay, Florida, had seemingly influenced the NFL icon. According to him, Brady joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and won a Super Bowl championship there. He continued with the comparison between Cena and Brady. Cena responded by saying, “I sense you know that Tom’s a very creative guy. He’s not only an accomplished athlete.”

Brady holds the record for winning the most NFL games ever. He holds the record for most regular season wins (251) and combined regular season and playoff wins (286). He also has seven Super Bowl wins under his belt.

Cena is a 16-time WWE Champion, which is where the comparison of the two arose from. Following this, Cena said, “I sense maybe a buddy comedy on the horizon. So, Tom, if you’re listening, I’m available, and I take all calls, especially from Tom Brady.”

Cena once accused Tom Brady of stalking him

In 2022, John Cena was on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, where he said, “I am a Tom Brady fan, and just like Tom Brady, I have moved to Tampa Bay. I was there first. I have this secret theory that Tom Brady is stalking me.”

There was a time in 2020 when Brady was 36 miles from Cena’s house. What do you think of seeing Brady and Cena together in a movie? Tell us in the comments down below.
