During the premiere of Jungle Cruise, ET caught up with Johnson and Blunt for a brief interview. The wrestler-turned-actor, in his previous interview with Hollywood Reporter, had mentioned that the 40-year-old actress ghosted him after he pitched the movie script to her.
The Great One once again spoke about this matter. He mentioned he had expected to hear from the London-born star after he sent her the movie script and video message. But there was radio silence from Blunt’s end. He said, “Usually, one would – what is that thing? ‘Oh! respond’ – one would respond. Zero response!”
The People’s Champion admitted that this put him to a sort of dismay. Surely the British actress’ intentions were not to upset him whatsoever, as she mentioned in the interview.
Emily Blunt also shared her stance on the incident
During the same interview with ET, Blunt began by saying that she never intended to hurt The Rock’s feelings at all. She admitted that she chose not to respond until she had acquainted herself fully with the movie script first.

The Devil Wears Prada actress said, “Honestly, it wasn’t intentionally hurtful. It was just because I hadn’t read the script yet. He sent a very nice video. And I hadn’t read the script, so I didn’t respond until I read this script.”
After when the Hollywood actress read the script, she loved it and therefore said yes to working alongside The Rock in the movie. And that’s how Johnson and Blunt ended up together on the big screen.
