The rivalry between Hulk Hogan and The Ultimate Warrior is remembered as one of the most compelling feuds in WWE history. But aside from being great rivals, Hogan and Warrior were also powerful tag team. During the early 90s, Hogan was a well-established star and the torchbearer of Vince McMahon’s company.

Meanwhile, The Ultimate Warrior was the fastest-rising star in the promotion. After their iconic match at WrestleMania 6 that saw Hulk Hogan’s defeat, the duo joined forces and became a tag team. While they were the favorite tag team for some fans, Hulk Hogan has his own top 5 favorite tag team list. And, Warrior is not on it.

Although Hogan and Warrior were a great pair, the brevity of their union did not allow them to further their careers as a tag team. Their legendary rivalry easily overshadows their work as a tag team.

The Immortal Hulk Hogan got involved in an allied program with Warrior in 1991 SummerSlam. The duo teamed up against Sgt. Slaughter, General Adnan, and Colonel Mustafa in a handicap tag team match.

The match was dubbed “The Match Made in Hell”. During the closing moments of the match, Warrior warded off Mustafa and Adnan while Hogan hit his finisher on Sgt. Slaughter, and picked up the win by pinfall.

Warrior was then seemingly written off from WWE TV due to an injury. He made his return at WrestleMania 8, saving Hulk Hogan from a beatdown at the hands of Sid and Papa Shango. After chasing away Sid Justice and Papa Shango, Hogan and Warrior stood tall in the ring with the former raising Warrior’s hand. The duo would have a couple more matches as a team until they went their separate ways as solo competitors.

Fans react to Hulk Hogan not mentioning The Ultimate Warrior in his tag team favorite list

Taking to his Instagram, Hulk Hogan posted a clip of his top 5 favorite tag teams that he was involved with. At number 5, Hogan placed his fellowship with his rival, Andre The Giant. He further put Brutus Beefcake, Mr. T, Edge, and ‘Macho man’ Randy Savage at 4, 3, 2, and 1 respectively. However, there was no mention of The Ultimate Warrior.

Despite having a brief run as tag team partners, Hogan and Warrior made memories together. Some fans would even argue that Hulk Hogan’s partnership with Warrior was better than his run with Edge.
