“You’re Gonna Get Thrown Out”: Austin Theory Confesses He Received ‘Warnings’ Ahead of Facing John Cena in Promo Battle

In his quest to prove himself, Austin Theory went head first against John Cena when he made his return on Monday Night Raw last month. The WWE Universe saw trash-talking from both sides during the segment between the two superstars.

‘The Champ’ has been in the wrestling business for a while. Thus, his solid reputation for cutting a promo precedes him. So when some superstars found out that A-Town Down was going in for a battle of words with him, they warned him in advance.

Austin Theory received a few words of wisdom before his promo with John Cena

Before his WrestleMania 39 match with the ‘Cenation Leader’, Theory sat with Ryan Satin for an interview on the Out of the Character live show event. During the interview, he mentioned that before his promo on WWE Raw, Baron Corbin, and The Miz came to tell him about Cena’s mic prowess.

They warned him that The Doctor of Thuganomics will destroy him inside the squared circle just only with his words. “Miz, Baron Corbin, sounds like all the bad guys. They’re just like, ‘Man, just be ready. You’re gonna get thrown out there in some deep water. But just be prepared.”

Cena, as always, lived up to the expectation. And did a tremendous job decimating the reigning United States Championship with his words. The 25-year-old star mentioned that The Chain Gang Leader did a great job of insulting him. But he, for sure, wasn’t able to get inside his head.

“I had my cool sneakers on and my shades that he talked trash about and I was feeling good. I was like, I came out here with one thing in mind and I got it. So, you know, telling me people don’t believe in me, alright John? I’m gonna make you believe. I’m gonna make them all stop believing in you,” he added.

The 6’1 star proved that The Prototype actually couldn’t faze him with his insulting words on Raw when he defeated The 16-time World Champion on The Grandest Stage of Them All.
