When you say power, charisma, or endurance, it all can be replaced by one name: Dwayne ‘The Rock Johnson. The former multi-time WWE World champion’s giant physique captures his unique persona. But can you believe the Rock Solid man felt awkwardly weak during the filming of his first-ever video game movie, Doom?

This happened in reality. Doom, the 2005 film starring Johnson, involved a rigorous schedule that didn’t even let the actors see the sunrise and sunset. It was so tough that staying sane under such circumstances was becoming a real challenge back then for DJ.

The real challenge hit him when the actor was asked to perform a Spider-Man ride in the movie. It’s kind of weird because it came from the same Johnson who performed in an array of action movies that involved a lot of strenuous activities. However, given that the complexities of our physical body sometimes go beyond our understanding, it made sense.

DJ later gave a detailed insight into his ill-fated movie, Doom, in one of his past interviews with Hollywood. Describing the horrifying experience, the actor noted, ”You get nauseous with the chaos of the first-person shooter and all of that. I’ve been good and then one time I went to Disney or Universal. Everybody’s like, ‘Get on the Spider-Man ride.’ I was like, ‘OK. I’ll get on the Spider-Man ride.’ I’ll tell you something right now. I was that close…Your mouth starts to salivate. And you’re locked in this ride. It’s the worst. After that, no more rides for me.”

At this juncture in his career, DJ has appeared in over 49 films that ranged from leading superheroes to supporting casts to small cameos. The ‘Fast and Furious’ actor, however, had little luck with the $58.7 million movie. It earned massive rave reviews from fans. Johnson himself once posted a tweet hinting at his own dissatisfaction regarding the first video game movie of his life. The actor mentioned another video game movie, Rampage, as the breaker of the curse that he received from Doom.

However, considering the present controversial turn of The Rock’s Hollywood career, we expect the ‘Jumanji’ star to bounce back sooner, adding many more hits to the list.
