Back in 2019, Cody Rhodes would appear in the AEW Double or Nothing event. However, fans would be caught by surprise when Rhodes would make his entrance with a sledgehammer and destroyed a replica of Triple H’s throne.
The vandalism looked like an outcome of built-up frustration and anger. Although, ever since Rhodes’ return to WWE, he and Triple H has been on good terms. Recently, WWE legend Bully Ray suggested a future feud angle between Triple H and Cody Rhodes regarding his throne destruction.
He said, “if you do a street fight, one of those types of matches. Which Hunter books himself in basically all the time you could walk it and talk it for ten minutes. Where you don’t have to put so much in exertion. And if the story builds up, it basically makes the match very easy.”
The 52-year-old further continued, “Hunter basically becomes Palpatine. In this situation where he is telling Cody everything he wants to hear. You would think Cody is his best friend but in reality he is stirring him up so bad just to… Hunter wants him out of there. ‘It was Vince who wanted you here, not me. You destroyed my throne.'”
This feud could potentially outsell the stadiums, and be main-event worthy. Fans have always wanted to see Triple H go on against Cody Rhodes. However, is Triple H in perfect health condition to return inside a WWE ring?

Triple H’s last wrestling match occurred in 2019 against Randy Orton at WWE Super Showdown in Saudi Arabia. Although, the match exceed expectations, it would also become The Game’s final match in the promotion.
With his final match against his long-time foe and friend, Randy Orton, Triple H would bid adieu to the world of wrestling. In March 2022, he would announce his retirement. Speaking on the podcast about the match between Rhodes, and Triple H, Bully Ray stated, “Cody vs Hunter? Like I said I don’t know what that match could look like because of physically of the heart situation. I don’t know what he can do. “
In September 2021, Triple H underwent critical heart surgery and has stayed away from competing inside the ring since then. If at all, a feud takes place between Rhodes and Triple H, fans wonder what the match would like.
