SummerSlam is getting more interesting by the minute. It all started with the brutal attack of Jimmy Uso by Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa, which landed him in the hospital. This led an enraged Jey Uso to challenge Reigns to a one-on-one match.

The Undisputed WWE Universal Championship was also put on the line to elevate the stakes of the match. As Reigns faced what could very well be the biggest blow to his legacy, his decision to share a moment of mutual respect with Jey Uso left the fans in disbelief.

On SmackDown, Jey Uso met up with Roman Reigns, who was accompanied by Solo Sikoa and Paul Heyman. What would have been a routine contract signing took a surprising turn. When the contract was presented to Jey, he shocked everyone by tearing it up.

He insisted that they don’t need a contract as it’s in the blood. He followed that up by saying that it’s ‘Tribal Combat’ now, which means anything goes. That’s the moment The Tribal Chief got serious. So much so that he even removed ‘Ula Fala’ from his neck and placed it on the table, symbolically representing that The Tribal Chief title will also be up for grabs at SummerSlam.

What followed left fans shocked, especially after all the brutality that was laid on Jimmy Uso last week. Reigns and Jey symbolically shook hands and bowed to each other as per Samoan Rituals acknowledging ‘The Tribal Combat’ that will take place at SummerSlam. As Reigns was leaving in peace, Sikoa tried to Samoan Spike Jey. But Reigns intervened and held him back. Jey took this opportunity to superkick Sikoa, knocking him down.

It was truly a night that kept the fans on the edge of their seats. But the traditional show of respect and the composure that Reigns displayed left fans stunned. They had a lot to say about the entire episode.

Fans couldn’t believe their eyes when Reigns and Uso treated each other with respect

The last time fans thought that Reigns was offering an olive branch to Jey by putting the ‘Ula Fala’ around his neck, he ended up giving a low blow and the rest, as you know, is history. That night ended with Jimmy Uso in the hospital.

Fans were thinking that a similar fate awaited his twin brother, but this time Roman Reigns actually paid respect to Jey while putting up The Tribal Chief title on the line along with his championship title. This left fans dumbstruck!

The Samoan ritual had fans wondering what the SummerSlam event will look like.

Regardless of what Reigns’ fate will be, the moment when he and Jey Uso displayed mutual respect will remain an iconic moment in WWE history.
