The theatrics and fantasy component of pro wrestling makes fans stick with the scripted entertainment sport. The legendary gimmicks of The Undertaker, Kane, and many other figures in the pro wrestling industry will always remain organic by their virtues. But can you imagine seeing the generational pop star Michael Jackson making a style entry inside the ring? Well, you don’t have to even imagine. Thanks to the independent star Santana Jackson who already brought it off in reality.

Wrestling fanatics might have seen the video that went viral around the world, featuring a Michael Jackson lookalike executing the iconic MJ flair effortlessly in an outdoor wrestling ring. Santana Jackson became a sudden internet sensation. There are a lot of fans who wanted to see the ‘Bad’ singer’s facsimile in WWE. While that never materialized in reality, he once squared off against a former WWE superstar named Carlito.

Carlito pulled off an incredible showdown against Santana Jackson last year

After a WWE release in 2010, Carlito turned into a regular contributor to the independent scene and the World Wrestling Council, his father’s promotion in Puerto Rico. The 44-year-old butted heads with Santana Jackson and Tru X in a triple threat competition during the Locked and Bottled event in 2022.

Jackson stunned the crowd with the 1.2 billion worth “King of Pop’s” signature moves and made the audiences chant his name during a spectacular entry.

But it was Carlito Caribbean Cool who got the upper hand in the end. The ex-WWE talent performed his iconic spitting-the-apple move on the MJ impersonator. He also outsmarted his other opponent and picked up the win.

Carlito always put on a for the wrestling world despite being criminally underrated during his WWE tenure.

However, the good news is the Caribbean Bad Apple is currently gearing up for another exciting WWE run.

Carlito is possibly on the verge of a full-time WWE return

Despite not getting his flowers in the company, the forgotten WWE star still considered making his way back to the Stamford-based company during the men’s Royal Rumble in 2021. It sparked the rumor of his full-time return but never came to fruition. The star again went on hiatus following that match, before resurfacing in WWE Backlash to interfere in the San Juan street fight between Damien Priest and Bad Bunny in front of rapturous Puerto Rico crowd.

Now, Carlito is reportedly set to rejoin the promotion as a full-timer. Dave Meltzer spilled the news on the recent broadcast of Wrestling Observer Radio. The veteran journalist wrote that Carlito snubbed his independent show in Canada scheduled for the next month because of his contract with WWE.

The star made his main roster debut by defeating John Cena in 2004 for the United States Championship and quickly rose through the ranks.

Now, we need to see how WWE will utilize his services if he indeed comes back to action.
