Wrestling legend Rey Mysterio is arguably one of the greatest names in the world of pro wrestling. Over the years, Mysterio has established himself as a legend and made people fall in awe of his wrestling abilities.
Not only wrestling fans, but wrestling legends are also fond of Rey Mysterio and his abilities. During his Hall of Fame speech this year, Mysterio made the fans and wrestlers present there, emotionally with his speech. Recently, during an interview, 65-year-old Canadian wrestling legend Bret Hart revealed his dream opponent and revealed to be the underdog of WWE, Rey Mysterio.
What did Bret Hart claim about his dream match against Rey Mysterio?

Speaking to Johnny I Pro Show, Bret Hart spoke about his dream match opponent. Although Hart took the name of several other wrestlers, he emphasized Rey Mysterio most and detailed his legacy and his respect for him.

He said, “Rey Mysterio is maybe one of the greatest. I wish I could have had one match with Rey Mysterio just to be in the ring with him. He’s one of my favorites and is always a class act. Very few wrestlers have the respect that I have for Rey Mysterio.”
However, unfortunately, fans never witnessed a match between Hart and Mysterio. A match between prime Bret Hart and prime Rey Mysterio would have been a treat for the fans, but it will remain one of those unfulfilled dream matches for the fans.
What is next for Rey Mysterio in WWE?
Rey Mysterio fought against Dominik Mysterio at WrestleMania 39 and won against his son. However, Dom is far away from learning a lesson. Rey Mysterio has now reformed the LWO stable called and recently ended their feud with The Judgment Day.
As of now, both Rey Mysterio and the newly reformed LWO are without a feud currently. But with SummerSlam approaching and Mysterio already being a Hall of Famer, fans can expect something big from Mysterio.

Will it be at SummerSlam 2023, when he again possibly faces Dominik Mysterio at the event? or reunites with his son after he finally realizes his mistake and comes back to his family?
