It is not new for pro wrestling and pop culture to blend in a collision that syncs well for both worlds. WWE has witnessed several stars from Hollywood as well as the music industry attend their live events and even be a part of their storylines. On the other hand, WWE stars love getting featured in movies, and some have even made a career in it, like Dwayne ‘the Rock’ Johnson and John Cena.
One such member of the music industry who also happens to be the son of Ice Cube is O’Shea Jackson Jr. The 32-year-old actor and rapper is a huge fan of pro wrestling and The Rock. He has often been vocal about his thoughts on everything wrestling. Social media went abuzz after it was confirmed that the Rock would be the one facing Roman Reigns. Some people went beyond criticizing the two, with some even sending death threats. Jackson Jr. too had some bitter words to share, but against the haters.

There are certain boundaries one must not cross. Criticizing someone’s work is very different from sending threats and being abusive. Unfortunately, this has become all too common on social media, and Roman Reigns and Dwayne the Rock Johnson have been on the receiving end of it for the past few days. And being a celebrity himself and a huge fan of pro wrestling, O’Shea Jackson Jr. shared a tweet on X defending the former two. “The way this happened is very unfortunate. To the lunatics who sent death threats. Wishing for injury. Talking about Romans illness. Or b**mbing wrestlemania. Y’all can SMD. You should not get what you want.”
To the genuine fans of Cody who just wanted to see their guy go for the big one at the big one. I’m sorry the way this happened is very unfortunate.

O’Shea Jackson Jr. has been very open to sharing his thoughts on the happenings of AEW and WWE. He once dissed AEW and called out its stars like ‘Saraya’ for constantly taking shots at the WWE in their programming. The rapper is also a huge fan of the Brahma Bull, as he once narrated the story of how he got the advantage of being the son of a celebrity.
Jackson Jr.’s encounter with the Rock
In an interview with The Kelly Clarkson Show, Jackson Jr. shared how his father once pulled him out of school to give him a pleasant surprise. At first, the rapper thought he was in trouble for something he did, as it is rare for his father to pull him out of school early like this. But it turns out it was all part of a plan, and they went to have lunch with none other than Dwayne Johnson.

He said, “So we go to this restaurant, we sit down [at a] big table. Here comes The Rock, all six foot-four of him, and he sits down, and I can’t say a word. You have to prepare a child for when they’re about to meet their hero. I had nothing lined up! I’m just staring at this man talking to my dad, and my dad’s nudging me like, ‘Say something!’ And I just couldn’t.”
Well, no wonder the hate toward Johnson triggered the American rapper. And the Rock, too, would appreciate the kind gesture by Jackson Jr., as we rarely see someone go so out of their way to defend other superstars like this.
