WWE’s Latest Recruit Jade Cargill Responds to Ominous “Warm Welcome” From 34-Year-Old Star

Jade Cargill is the talk of the town right now, as she just signed a multi-year contract with WWE. She had a huge fan following in AEW and WWE is hoping to cash in on these crossover fans. As news of her joining the WWE spread, a former WWE Women’s Champion sent out a “warm welcome” to Cargill on X (formerly Twitter). But the exchange between the two seemed to be a bit stiff, as if between two fast-becoming rivals.

This might very well be Jade Cargill’s first-ever feud in the WWE.

Factions form a considerable part of the WWE. On RAW, the dominant faction is The Judgment Day, and, on SmackDown, The Bloodline. Similarly, in the women’s division, Damage CTRL is the most major faction currently. So much so that it helped Iyo Sky become the WWE Women’s Champion at SummerSlam as she successfully cashed in her MITB against Bianca Belair.

And now Bayley, the leader of Damage CTRL has her eyes set on a new entry to strengthen the faction. Much like ‘Dirty’ Dom tried to poach Jey Uso to The Judgment Day when he first joined RAW. Hopefully, Bayley’s antics don’t end the same way as Dom’s, as Jey Uso ended up superkicking all the members of the faction.

Bayley tried to initiate a friendship with Jade Cargill who just joined the WWE from AEW. Bayley warmly welcomed Cargill and advised her to watch her match with Charlotte Flair on Friday’s SmackDown. Cargill was surprised to receive the message, but she responded in a rather cheeky way.

While calling Bayley a “role model”, she also made her realize that she was well aware of the threat she posed to her. She replied, “Warm welcome from a ‘role model’. Heard from my friends you’re also the one to look out for. 😎”

Jade Cargill had the longest reign for any AEW championship

Jade Cargill joined AEW in 2020 and left them in 2023. During her time in the promotion, she became a huge fan favorite.

She won the inaugural AEW TBS Championship. Not only that, she held onto it for 508 days straight, the longest reign for any AEW championship in history. Now, as she sets foot in the WWE, only time will tell what records she will break over at the promotion.
