Since 2020, Adam Pearce has been looking over both Raw and SmackDown. The former pro wrestler proved to be a capable leader by keeping talents from both brands in check. Along with that, he took care of the brands, especially SmackDown when no one was around. But at the season premiere of SmackDown, a new member was added to the WWE family.
Nick Aldis was announced as the new general manager of SmackDown. Since his entry into the scene, there has been some heat between the two managers. Could this be a hint that the Brand Wars is returning?

On the October 20th episode of SmackDown, fans saw Jey Uso wander inside the premises of the brand. This was to retaliate against his brother Jimmy Uso’s action from the same week’s Raw. Jimmy Uso barged into the Raw premises where he interrupted Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes’s match against The Judgment Day. While this action of Jimmy Uso was appreciated by Rhea Ripley, it infuriated Jey Uso. And so he decided to exact revenge by interrupting Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso’s ambush on John Cena.
However, as Adam Pearce is not the general manager of both brands anymore, things work differently now. Nick Aldis, immediately got a hold of Jey Uso backstage. As the two were arguing, Adam Pearce entered the scene to look into his talent’s matter. This is when Aldis said that Jey Uso would have to pay a fine of $10,000. This made Pearce very angry who levied the same fine at Jimmy Uso for his antics at Raw. This is where the tension started to mount between the two managers. As Aldis told the Raw personnel to “take a walk”, Pearce replied to it by saying “Let the games begin”.
The heat between the two managers is real and fans can feel that the war between them is going to be epic. But many might not know that Aldis has been preparing his brand before Pearce could even sense it.
Will Nick Aldis checkmate Adam Pearce?
Nick Aldis played his very first move on the season premiere of SmackDown. Jey Uso was informed by Pearce when he moved to Raw that the transaction was still incomplete. Fans knew that this meant someone from the Raw brand would be going to SmackDown in exchange for Jey Uso, but who that would be was still not revealed.
Aldis on the very first day brought Kevin Owens to SmackDown. With this move, he tried to show Pearce that he too has some sort of control over the inner workings of WWE. But apart from that, it could be a major push for Aldis’ authority at the Survivor Series.

Before Owens was transferred to the blue brand, Raw had two powerful tag teams, Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes, and Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens. If the Brand Wars were to happen, Pearce would dominate with these two powerful tag teams.
On the other hand, Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa’s tag team has proven to be average. The duo have been beaten up multiple times with wins barely at arm’s length away. Even though Owens has been visibly frustrated because he believes Jey Uso to be the reason for this exchange. With Jimmy Uso and Nick Aldis’s manipulation, he might be ready to take down Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes, and SmackDown will be able to secure a win.
