The WWE Universe is gearing up to enjoy WWE’s biggest annual Premium Live Event. This year will be even bigger for the fans since WrestleMania XL will revive a WWE tradition that has been in place since 1988. WWE World is coming up next month. Fans flock to WWE Superstars around the year and are able to score several interactions with them. They also enjoyed a premium and more dedicated experience via WrestleMania Axxess. While the Covid-19 pandemic forced WWE to dismiss Axxess, WrestleMania XL will relaunch it as WWE World. But is the rebranding coming with anything new?
What was WrestleMania Axxess about?
WrestleMania Axxess was started with the fourth iteration of WrestleMania. The event allowed fans to get closer to their heroes via a plethora of interactive activities and lasted for 4 to 5 days. This included meetings, autograph sessions, recreational games, and luncheons or dinners. WWE Axxess also tried to evolve with every new edition and incorporated new things.

WrestleMania Axxess also started to include special wrestling matches for the fans. Later on, these matches took an even more real form when Lex Luger attacked Bret Hart at WrestleMania IX. When WWE was certain it had won the hearts of fans, it also tried to benefit wrestlers from the independent circuit.
The indie superstars wrestled for WrestleMania Axxess fans which gave WWE Superstars more fan interaction bandwidth. This new addition was later upgraded to NXT Superstars fighting matches for the fans starting in 2013. From 2018, these events also became the determiners of Number One NXT Championship contenders.
All of this had to stop in 2020 due to the pandemic and was resumed in a limited capacity in 2023. But now, WWE World is back and fans have already bought every single ticket for the upcoming adventure at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia.
A resurrection or a reincarnation?
According to the official announcement by WWE and its WWE World partner Fanatics, fans will get an even more immersive experience. One can grab the tickets on 22nd March at 10 AM ET. The prizes range from 30 to-300 dollars/ticket. Since WrestleMania IV in 1998, WWE has hosted fan events leading up to their marquee event each year.
The fan interaction was absent during the pandemic-era WrestleMania at the Performance Center in 2020. In 2022, as live events resumed, the pre-WrestleMania experience was rebranded as a Superstore.
Traditionally known as Axxess throughout much of the 21st century, these gatherings offer fans unique experiences with the WWE brand.
