Well, it seems like WWE is going to use the same tactic once again to destroy AEW on Friday. According to fresh sources, the likes of John Cena, Roman Reigns, Carlito, Triple H, and others will grace the SmackDown ring this week.

Get ready for a live episode of SmackDown from the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma this week. It will be the blue brand season premiere. Therefore, it seems like the Stamford-based promotion is planning something big to make the event a remarkable one.

For this week’s special SmackDown episode, WWE has planned appearances from Roman Reigns, John Cena, Carlito, Triple H, Bobby Lashley, and Rey Mysterio. Well, the Stamford-based promotion is again declaring an all-out battle against AEW’s Rampage on Friday.

Will WWE be successful again? This week’s Tuesday Night War saw WWE on the winning and AEW on the losing end. Will it happen again?

AEW loses the Tuesday Night War

WWE stacked up NXT with surprise matches and special appearances on Tuesday, hoping to outnumber AEW in terms of TV ratings. The sports entertainment giant was successful in its attempt to lure more fans to watch their show, rather than their rival promotion show.

John Cena, The Undertaker, LA Knight, Cody Rhodes, Jade Cargill, and many more elevated the significance of the show, which forced the fans to hook their eyes to the WWE developmental brand show. According to a report from WrestleOps, 921,000 viewers watched NXT. Thus, the rating of the show was 0.30 in the P18-19 demographic.

The number of viewers for the AEW Dynamite show was significantly less than compared to WWE NXT. Only a total of 609,000 viewers tuned into the AEW Tuesday Night Show, making the rating 0.26 rating in P18-49 demographics.

Khan was very confident that he would beat WWE this time, with Edge‘s in-ring debut being telecasted on his Tuesday show. However, his promotion still fell short. Nevertheless, the show was very enjoyable and had tons of great elements.
