Despite being a heel in WWE, Logan Paul has decided to do something heroic in real life. The wrestler who is usually seen winning by the use of illegal hooks in a match, recently announced that he is ready to correct a mistake that he made a year ago. The Maverick is returning to his CryptoZoo NFT after almost a year of its failure.

The reason why Paul is returning to his failed project is not to relaunch it, but to redeem it in the eyes of his fans because of how much of a disaster it was.

In 2023, CryptoZoo was an unreleased game based on the concept of NFTs. Players could follow the game and use in-game currency to buy a certain egg. The idea was to let them make hybrids of different animals and use them as NFTs to trade within the game or even monetize it in real life.

Despite the hype that the concept gained and the popularity it received due to Paul’s involvement in the project, it flopped miserably. Some even called it a scam. However, the YouTuber-turned-boxer finally came through with his promise of buying back some things that people invested in.

Through his latest tweet, Paul revealed that he is starting 2024 on the right foot by coming through with a buy-back scheme. He further detailed in the tweet by revealing, “With this buy-back program, I am personally committing more than $2.3 million to buy back Base Eggs and Base Animals from every person who intended to play CryptoZoo.

However, there are also some exceptions. In the tweet, Paul firmly mentioned, “The buy-back is not intended to compensate those who gambled on the crypto market and lost.” This was also backed up by an outline on the original WhitePaper.

This is a big relief for those who were stressed out about the situation after buying the base eggs and animals of the game. Initially, it was the talk of the town because of the scenarios that followed.

Being an internet sensation, Paul can draw a lot of people into any project that he is associated with. Using his influencer perk, he also grabbed a lot of fans’ attention to the NFT project. However, people started complaining about the quality of pictures used in the game alongside other things.

Due to the backlash on the internet, its popularity started fading away, making it a forgotten failure. The only people who remembered it were the ones who had put their money on it. Paul also faced a loss, as he had paid $400,000 to develop the game. Now, Paul has filed a lawsuit against what he called “bad actors” who he alleged had sabotaged the project. Like you, I was highly disappointed that the game was not delivered. As I said a year ago, CryptoZoo was derailed by bad actors. Bad actors who DID steal money and who betrayed our team while internally sabotaging the game,” he said.
