In 2023, Rhea Ripley made the ultimate Royal Rumble record. After being in the ring for a grueling one hour, one minute, and eight seconds, she became the first-ever female superstar to have won the Royal Rumble, coming in at number 1. And not only that, her total time spent in the ring is also the longest time spent by a woman in a Royal Rumble match.

With the WWE approaching the Royal Rumble, could we witness another superstar breaking the record? If yes, who are the possible candidates?

The WWE universe is awaiting the most talked-about in-ring debut to take place in the Royal Rumble, and what better way to establish the dominant force that is Jade Cargill than by making her win it all? In her 3 years in AEW, she became the inaugural AEW TBS champion in a reign that lasted 508 days, the longest for any championship in the promotion.

And since the WWE has already signed the most dominant force in AEW’s women’s division, making her break Ripley’s record would be the natural thing to do.

Nia Jax

Ever since her return to the WWE after being let go back in 2021, Nia Jax has had vengeance on her mind. Vengeance against the women’s roster, including the likes of Becky Lynch and, most recently, Rhea Ripley. During an interview with Michale Cold, Nia Jax was issuing threats and unveiling her plans for the Royal Rumble when she was interrupted by none other than Rhea Ripley.

This hints at an upcoming feud for if Nia, being the ever-so-dominant, breaks Ripley’s record and gets ready to get in the ring for a championship match.

Bayley

The head of Damage CTRL has been in troubled waters lately. She is losing the confidence of her stablemates as the leader, and her recent loss to Bianca Belair did not help her case at all. But could there be a redemption story arc ahead for the former ‘hugger’? Being dropped from Damage CTRL could lead to a potential baby face turn for the 34-year-old.

With Charlotte out of the picture for nine months due to her injury, Bayley could be a possible candidate to square off against the biggest and baddest heel in the promotion, Rhea Ripley, by winning the Royal Rumble in style.

Liv Morgan

Liv Morgan has been out of action for almost a month now, and fans await her comeback. After getting arrested back in December in Florida for possession of marijuana, fans await the return of the superstar. The arrest surely has affected the public image, and redemption is necessary. So the WWE can go ahead with the plan of making the 29-year-old return, win the rumble, and become a baby face against Rhea Ripley.

Sasha Banks

Saving the most exciting yet unlikely possibility for last, the crowd pop would be through the roof if ‘The Boss’ made her return to the WWE. Sasha Banks walked out of the company due to creative differences, and fans have been missing her ever since.

After all, she was a crowd favorite, and just imagining the idea of her returning and being a baby face against Ripley would give chills to many. But amidst rumors of her returning to wrestling, as per recent hints, and planning to join AEW, the return seems less likely to happen.
