WWE Raw 2/12: Dwayne Johnson’s Most Likely WrestleMania 40 Plans May Have Been Revealed in Cody Rhodes & Seth Rollins Segment

Just when people thought that the Dwayne Johnson and Cody Rhodes situation couldn’t turn any worse, a slap from The Rock changed everything. The disrespectful reaction by Johnson to the clever mic work of Rhodes shocked everyone. It also prompted Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins to join the scuffle, which gave several referees as well as Triple H a hard time to settle down.

The shock value as well as the weight of this occurrence was immense. However, it may have also given away what is to come next in WWE. Especially, it may have exposed what will happen at WrestleMania 40. In fact, the promo between Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes following this incident rules out the possibility of every other match.

Dwayne Johnson, Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, and Seth Rollins to enter team action

The latest WWE promo on the 12th February RAW episode involving Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes showed the WWE World Heavyweight Champ mentioning himself as The Architect. He told Rhodes that he would need a game plan to deal with Roman Reigns, who is now a two-headed monster coupled with Dwayne Johnson.

This was followed by Seth Rollins extending a helping hand to Cody Rhodes and offering to be his ‘shield’. Rollins stated that he stood up for Rhodes and wanted to help him because even he wanted to take everything away from Roman Reigns. This solidifies that the WWE World Heavyweight Champ will be joining The American Nightmare as a tag team partner. 

In response, Dwayne Johnson and Roman Reigns will be teaming up to face off against the two united WWE Superstars. Thus, one of the main events at WrestleMania would be a tag team match between the Samoan heels and the top babyfaces of WWE. Before they were just rumors but it seems like now this is the main deal! It seems like a tag team match on night one of Mania is being set up.

Moreover, there is a high chance that this match will take place on the first night of Mania. 

How will the WrestleMania 40 main events unfold?

The main events on both nights of WrestleMania are usually the championship bouts for the Heavyweight and the Universal Championships. However, Seth Rollins doesn’t have a WrestleMania opponent at the time. Moreover, Triple H has already overruled The Rock’s decision to fight for the Universal title.

Traditionally the final match of the final night is always the title match for the WWE Universal Championship. Hence, Cody Rhodes will get his title shot on night two after he pays Dwayne Johnson back for the humiliating slap alongside Seth Rollins.
