Fans were eagerly waiting to see CM Punk back in action after the star’s return. It is important to note that the last time fought in a WWE match was almost a decade ago. So the fan’s excitement is justifiable. This might have made the fans flood into Madison Square Garden for the show’s ticket. Keeping that in mind, WWE has decided to make a special arrangement for the Second City Saint’s homecoming fight.

WWE makes changes to accommodate the demand for CM Punk

According to reports, the ticket sales for the WWE Live Event at the MSG have neared the 16,000 mark. The total capacity of the arena is said to be 19,500. Just in case fans don’t miss the Punk’s fight against Dominik Mysterio, WWE decided to increase the seating capacity. The company has opened another section behind the stage for the fans. However, fans who opt for those seats might not be able to see the iconic entrances as the ramp is said to be not visible from there.

This is Punk’s first WWE match after almost a decade. The last time he participated in a WWE match was in the 2014 Royal Rumble. Following that, he left WWE in June of the same year. While fans are excited to see Punk getting back into the ring, Punk has been pretty nervous about it.

In a clip shared by WWE, the Second City Saint was seen entering the arena ahead of the Holiday Live Event. As soon as he entered MSG, his first reaction was that he was feeling “flushed.” The star was seen soaking in the surreal moment as he was about to perform at one of the most famous arenas in the world.

On top of that, Punk has been pretty excited about this situation. Punk was present as a guest commentator at a CFFC event. There he told his fans to head over to the venue on December 30 if they wanted to see him beat up Dominik Mysterio. According to him, he has been waiting for this moment since Dirty Dom was 8 years old. It might be possible that his hatred for him stems from the infamous SmackDown moment where he had gate-crashed Rey Mysterio’s daughter’s birthday celebration. Dominik Mysterio was also present in the ring and looked traumatized back then.
