For various it’s been a ritual that WWE produces a celebrity who is known worldwide. From Hulk Hogan to Dwayne Johnson to John Cena, there was always one star in every era that everyone knew. Their larger-than-life presence, charisma, and ability to attract the crowd made them marquee stars. But that is rare. Only a few names can say that they have truly outshined everyone else and come out on top. On this topic, this WWE veteran has some advice that he got from another legend in the business.

Wrestling veteran reveals advice that he received from WWE

On the Busted Open podcast, Bully Ray, WWE’s Bubba Ray Dudley, discussed the recent Raw episode with his fellow co-hosts. When talking about The Miz’s comment about LA Knight, being the flavor of the month, Dudley agreed to it wholeheartedly. Then he revealed that this segment got him remembering a piece of advice that he received backstage from another WWE legend, Al Snow.

He said, “Al Snow taught me a lesson in the WWE a long time ago, and this is when me and D’Von were hitting on all the cylinders and could do no wrong. He said Bubba, you might be the flavor of the night, the flavor of the week, the flavor of the month, but you’ll always be the flavor of a certain period of time. Very few become the flavor of a lifetime for Vince McMahon i.e. Stone Cold, John Cena, and The Rock.

But with so many wrestlers coming in, year in and year out, you might wonder why don’t they follow the footsteps of these legends. Well, there was one attribute in all of them that separated them from the rest.

What made Dwayne Johnson and John Cena stick when so many faded away?

The advice, the right person at the right time in the right place, is a continuous theme in all of these wrestlers. Cena came in at a time when McMahon had just lost his biggest stars and his next big thing Brock Lesnar also quit abruptly. Both Austin and Johnson were the results of the New Generation era doing poorly compared to the Golden Era of wrestling and their skills matched the booking style of the Attitude Era.

However, it wasn’t only their luck. The sheer hard work they put in to carry the company on their backs and being reliable as ever made them not only fan favorites but two of the biggest stars pro wrestling has ever seen.
