He faced this call out from WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan. It was particularly pertaining to Foley’s weight. Hulk assumed something about Foley that was the complete opposite of what was going on with him. This hurt Foley back in the day.

In a past episode of ‘Foley Is Pod’, the former WWE wrestler was recalling this one time Hogan targeted him. In an interview with Michael Landsberg, Hogan was asked whether he wonders about the reason behind Foley’s retirement from wrestling despite being younger than him. Hogan claimed that he worked out in the ongoing week, more than Foley did in the last five years. Little did The Hulkster know that he was plainly assuming things.

Foley confessed in the podcast that he was working out ‘hard’ during that time, but his ‘genetics’ never let him get build an ideal physique. “There’s very little difference in the way I looked when I was working out as hard as I possibly could and when I came back for my comeback matches and basically had given up lifting weights and was doing all cardio… So, you’re hitting all those muscles and even when I came back, I dropped a ton of weight in 2016. It was DDP Yoga and swimming and doing aerobics in the pool that helped me out,” Foley revealed in the podcast how none of this seemed to help him get the ‘ideal’ male physique.

Foley also went ahead to confess his feelings about Hogan’s comments, “Those words stung, man. A criticism hurt me back then in a way that it no longer does.” Although the former wrestler has gotten over the statement now, they are still imprinted in the back of his mind.

This situation is similar to the one that Hulk Hogan faced in his childhood. Although The Hulkster was ‘bullied’ in his childhood, the similarity lies with the sensitive topic. In this case, both the former wrestlers were called out for their ‘heavy weight’.
