WWE is known for coming up with comical gimmicks over the years like Santino Marella’s Cobra Sock Puppet. But what happened last night at NXT No Mercy literally had the audience in splits. Barbie is the highest-grossing film of 2023, making $1.4 billion at the box office. And the craze still seems to be going strong as Barbie made its presence felt at NXT No Mercy’s main event. Becky Lynch and Tiffany Stratton had an Extreme Rules match for the NXT Women’s Championship.
Extreme Rules comes with the condition that it’s a no-holds-barred match and that anything and everything goes. Nevertheless, wrestling fans were not expecting broken Barbie dolls in the middle of the ring instead of thumbtacks and nails.
