WWE Drops Major Sasha Banks Tease on SmackDown 01/26 1 Day Ahead of Royal Rumble 2024 Amidst Her Return Rumors

Over the past month, there has been a lot of talk about Mercedes Mone, aka Sasha Bank’s, future, with everything indicating that she would not return to WWE and that she could sign with AEW soon. However, according to some reports, WWE and Mercedes Moné held talks over Christmas. Some factors, including Triple H’s creative leadership and the new regime in place in WWE, were highlighted as important for the two parties to restart their relationship and for the wrestler to be able to return to the company.

And now it seems like the negotiations were successful, with a lot of rumors pointing toward a Royal Rumble return for the ‘Boss’. In fact, Corey Graves has also dropped a major hint toward the much-awaited return.

Royal Rumble to be the ‘Boss’ stage?

In tonight’s edition of SmackDown, Santos Escobar squared off against Carlito. While their match was surely entertaining, what caught the fan’s attention was something that occurred outside the ring. During the match, the commentator of the blue brand, Corey Graves, dropped a hint toward the return of The Boss Sasha Banks. How? Well, out of nowhere, the commentator name-dropped the title of the entrance theme of Banks, i.e., The Sky is the Limit, while talking about Escobar. As he said, “…with repeated success in the state of Mexico, the sky is the limit here in WWE.”

Fans were quick to realize that this was a subtle hint by Graves, as he had previously done the same as he teased the much-awaited return of CM Punk. In fact, they couldn’t help but share their thoughts on this.
