In a fresh report from Fightful Select, it has come to light that WWE and LA Knight are currently at a significant impasse when it comes to financial terms. According to the report, the two sides are described as being “very far apart” in their negotiations. Additionally, it was disclosed that Knight’s existing WWE contract extends well into 2025, dispelling earlier speculations about its expiration date. Fightful also clarified the rumors suggesting WWE delaying Knight’s push until a new deal was signed. According to them, there is nothing as such from the promotion’s end.

The report emphasized that certain superstars are already receiving pushes despite not having inked new contracts. The report did affirm previous claims that WWE wishes to seek a 5-year extension for LA Knight. However, it remains unclear whether this will take the form of a genuine extension or an entirely new contract.
LA Knight is having a positive trajectory this year. He has won two premium live events this year and has also had the highest merchandise sales this year. The Defiant One went on to become a fan-favorite star. As expected, fans are not taking this report in a good way.

I don’t watch a lot of WWE content these days, but from what I’ve seen and heard they would be foolish to not do what it takes to keep him.
