Rhea Ripley’s stock in the WWE is currently soaring. And while her professional life is at an all-time high, her private life seems to be keeping up with it. The Australian pro wrestler recently got engaged to former WWE star and compatriot Buddy Matthews. With growth overall in her life, Ripley is slated for more gifts.

As per reports, the 26-year-old could receive a surprise from her current employers in early 2024.

On September 12, the WWE-UFC merger was closed, forming a new company, TKO Holdings – a $21.4 billion venture headed by Endeavor. The WWE has already had its first episode under new leadership. And it sprung a massive surprise. For four years, Dwayne Johnson had evaded WWE programming but made a triumphant return on Friday night’s SmackDown in Colorado. Now, as per reports, the promotion is planning something bigger.

The West Australian recently reported that WWE is in talks with the Australian government regarding a show down under. The proposed event could take place at the iconic Optus Stadium. The venue in Perth can facilitate a crowd of 70,000 during concerts.

Thus, if finalized, the event will take place ahead of the start of the Australian Football League in March 2024. While talks are one, it is safe to assume that Ripley will be one of the biggest draws of this proposed event. The others who might get picked ahead of their peers are Grayson Waller and Bronson Reed, both Australian wrestlers. These two stars have had tremendous success in the promotion lately and are likely to play a major role in attracting the locals alongside Ripley.

If you think it’s not a sound assumption, here’s what the WWE did for its Superstar Spectacle show in India. They got four wrestlers of Indian origin – Jinder Mahal, Veer Mahaan, Sanga and Shanky- to fight at the Gachibowli Stadium in Hyderabad on September 8. For Australia, it’s likely to follow suit.

Meanwhile, this won’t be WWE’s first event in Australia.

When was the last time WWE went to Australia?

If there’s one place outside North America where the WWE has a rich history, it is Australia. Since the 80s, the McMahons have been enthralling the crowd in the Land Down Under with tours. While they used to be occasional, from 2002 onwards, the promotion has held matches every year.

That streak was broken in 2020, with COVID-19 playing spoilsport. So WWE Live: Australia with house shows in Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane in 2019 was the last time the promotion held its programs there.

The WWE Universe in Australia will be hoping for a favorable outcome. This is also in line with WWE’s global expansion program, which was reiterated by Chief Content Officer Triple H during the Money In The Bank post-show conference in London.
