A return that the WWE fans have been longing for. In late January, Janel Grant, a former WWE employee, filed a lawsuit against Vince McMahon and other WWE figures including Brock Lesnar, who was immediately removed by WWE pending further details. And since then he has been missing from the WWE.
In fact, the WWE gave him the Benoit treatment as they removed him from the WWE’s opening montage, games, and other promotional materials. But some fans noticed that his name is still a part of the WWE’s current roster on their website. He has been made part of WWE 2k24, and recently, rumors have surfaced about Brock Lesnar’s possible return to WWE programming. Bryan Alvarez, on the latest Wrestling Observer Live show, confirmed that within WWE there has been activity related to Lesnar and that an investigation has been carried out to clarify his situation.
“In the last few days, there have been moves regarding Brock Lesnar. If you listen to the show last night with Dave [Meltzer], everything we talked about is accurate other than the roster page. There are movements to bring him back,” he said. “I should add regarding Brock. I’m not saying he’s going to be back. I have no idea if he’s going to be back. I wouldn’t bring him back but I can tell you that there have been inquiries made and what that means, we will wait and see,” he added.
Also, how can we forget that Paul Heyman is getting inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame? And who better to induct the legendary manager than Brock Lesnar? So maybe the WWE can bring back the Beast and give Gunther the dream match that he had been longing for.
The Hardy Boyz
A few weeks ago, Matt Hardy confirmed that his contract with AEW will come to an end this month. It is not known if it will be at the end of the month or if it has already expired. However, something quite curious happened recently. Hardy and his wife, Reby Hardy, also known as Reby Sky, were present at the most recent edition of Monday Night RAW. Reby Hardy posted a video of her walking into the PNC Arena in Raleigh, North Carolina, and a security guard is seen opening a box door for her. The video ends with a shot of her and her husband laughing as Michael Cole mentioned The Hardy Boyz during the telecast.
Speaking about the match between siblings Jey and Jimmy Uso scheduled for WrestleMania 40, Cole recalled how Matt Hardy vs. Jeff Hardy is, along with Owen Hart vs. Bret Hart, the only other two instances in which real-life brothers have wrestled at WrestleMania. Raleigh is just over an hour’s drive from Cameron, North Carolina, where Matt and Jeff Hardy have their mansion. Last week, Bayley, Naomi, and Tamina Snuka were also in the VIP box on Dynamite, watching the debut of their friend, Mercedes Moné.
But, this case is somewhat different. As it is not known if Matt Hardy still has a contract with AEW. And we are just days away from WrestleMania. Regarding Jeff Hardy’s contract with AEW, the situation is a little more complicated. Tony Khan could add more time to his contract due to his injuries and his time out of the ring due to problems with the law. So maybe we can see the brothers make another WrestleMania return for a possible final run with the company.
Other confirmed legends who will attend the show
