However, after the former AEW star blasted The Rock to make his aim firmer on last week’s Raw, things have taken a dramatic turn in the saga involving Reigns, Johnson, and Rhodes.
Despite Triple H confirming the matchup of Rhodes vs Reigns for WrestleMania 40, Johnson could exercise his power to insert himself in proceedings. A tag team bout involving The Rock and Reigns vs Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins is also making rounds in the pro wrestling circles.
Nevertheless, The Tribal Chief’s latest move stretched the drama even more.
Roman Reigns puts The American Nightmare on notice ahead of SmackDown tonight
The recent antics in the WrestleMania XL Kickoff press conference showcased Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson turning heel and launching a serious assault on Cody Rhodes in the face as he claimed to pursue the WWE Universal Championship belt of Reigns in the main event of WrestleMania 40 this year. After Triple H gave the official nod to it, The Rock got even madder and warned Hunter to fix things.
In the following week’s SmackDown, Triple H indeed fixed things, but on his terms. He reminded everyone who runs the show, making Cody Rhodes’ WrestleMania dream more of a sure deal.
