For quite a while now, the Intercontinental Champion Gunther, has been looking forward to wrestling ‘The Beast Incarnate’. His wish has not yet been fulfilled. Although the two had a stare down at Royal Rumble 2023, no good came out of it. Gunther revealed all of this information while talking about ‘My Love Letter to Wrestling’. On the same podcast, Gunther revealed more details about a potential match between the two.
Gunther said, “That moment with Brock was all I needed. I don’t think we needed to have lots of action going on with him, get into a little scuffle and stuff, just the moment and the crowd reaction for that, it was all I needed.”
Expressing hope he added, “I hope. The thing is, who knows. We had great success as Clash at the Castle, and now coming back with Money in the Bank, I’m hoping this is something that becomes a tradition where they venture out to Europe for the big events. The response is great and we get the chance more often.”
Though this is merely a speculation and a strong desire of Gunther, as far as reality is concerned, Lesnar is still involved in a feud with Cody Rhodes.

What happens next in the Rhodes vs Lesnar storyline
Things heated up between Rhodes and Lesnar when the latter attacked The American Nightmare out of nowhere during a promo backstage. This happened after WrestleMania 39. So, after that, the two faced each other at Backlash 2023 where Rhodes got the best of Lesnar. Some fans found it abrupt that The Beast Incarnate lost to Rhodes. So, the tables turned at Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia when Rhodes wrestled with a kayfabe broke arm and lost to Lesnar.
According to WON, WWE is wishing to continue Rhodes’ storyline with his broken arm rather than sidelining him. It could be that Brock and Rhodes will face each other soon enough for a third showdown.
