This year, WWE ushered in several new changes. With the $21.4 million TKO merger, many more changes are yet to come. Speaking of which, recent reports have rattled social media as after Drew Mcintyre another former World Champion’s WWE contract is going to expire soon.
The superstar in question is none other than Sheamus, who has been an integral part of the Stamford-based promotion for several years. Considering his 17-year career in WWE, questions such as whether he will sign a new deal with the company or explore other opportunities are popping up in many people’s minds.
Sheamus’ WWE contract set to expire in 2024

FightFul was the first media house to break out this fresh piece of news on the internet. FightFul’s very own Sean Ross Sapp, tweeted earlier that Sheamus’ WWE contract will be ending soon. The timeline of the contract’s end is said to be somewhere around the first quarter of 2024.

‘The Celtic Warrior’ has been a loyal employee of WWE since 2006. So his contract deal coming to an end is bound to bring more eyes to the situation. From world titles to mid-card titles, Sheamus has held almost all the belts in WWE. Plus, he has had an amazing run in the promotion. So will he continue his journey in the Stamford-based promotion?
The former world champion has not been happy at WWE lately
Lately, Sheamus is not happy with his position in WWE. He has not won a title in a long time now. The promotion has pushed him to the mid-card talent roster, and he has had a lack of serious storylines over the past few years. The only time he was in a title picture in the past couple of years was at WrestleMania 39.

He had built quite a momentum with his Triple Threat match against Gunther and ‘The Scottish Psychopath’ at Mania this year. Unfortunately, WWE could not capitalize on it. This situation had the former champion deep in the dumps. In addition, he also expressed his dissatisfaction about facing partiality in the company a while back.

McIntyre also has some creative differences with WWE and is said to leave the promotion next year.
