With Dominik Mysterio Banned From Ringside, Former Champion Returns to Help Rhea Ripley Beat Raquel Rodriguez

Last night’s edition of Raw saw Women’s champion Rhea Ripley defend her championship against Raquel Rodriguez in the main event. With the stakes being so high, fans awaited with bated breath to see the conclusion of the rivalry. Moreover, the two stars didn’t disappoint as they delivered on the promise of exhilarating thrills and action. However, the return of a former champion boosted the excitement of the match further.

As Dominik Mysterio got barred from ringside, former superstar Nia Jax made a shocking return to WWE, costing Rodriguez a chance to win the title. 

Former Women’s champion helps Rhea Ripley defend her title

After being released by WWE in 2021, Jax stunned the world when she made her return to the 2023 women’s Royal Rumble match. Though many fans considered it a one-off appearance, they still expected her to make a comeback.

And that’s exactly what transpired in the latest edition of Raw. During the closing moments of the show, Jax showed up to take down Rodriguez with a Samoan drop on the floor. This later allowed Ripley to hit her opponent with the Riptide and pick up the victory. The drama didn’t end there as the former champion then attacked Ripley with a leg drop on the apron.

As Jax stood tall to end the show, the WWE Universe got a jolt to see both Mami and Rodriguez put down by the mighty force of Jax. While this means a new challenger for Ripley, things are even worse for Rodriguez, as now she has a new rival to deal with apart from her beef with Dominik Mysterio.

The former tag team champion and Dirty Dom have been going at it for weeks. A few weeks back, Rodriguez called out Dom on her social media for begging her to not attack her.

Dom reciprocated by putting a cut out of Rodriguez in a chokehold. However, the 32-year-old was quick to respond by mocking him on her Instagram story with the caption, “The only time that guy is going to put his arms around me.”

The taunting continued as she later dissed Dom from being banned for ringside for her championship match against Mami, after requesting Adam Pierce to stop Dominik from butting in during her match.
