WWE is a breeding ground for multiple bonds and connections between various wrestlers. While one usually finds enmity, brotherhood, and romance in the squared circle, a mentor-mentee relationship is also one to look out for. The events leading up to WWE Fastlane gave rise to one such bond between John Cena and LA Knight.

John Cena and LA Knight united against The Bloodline’s Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa at Fastlane to register a massive victory. Interestingly, it was LA Knight who secured the pin instead of Cena. While this did start a mentor-mentee relationship between the two, will this really benefit Knight at WWE Crown Jewel?

LA Knight makes the perfect student for John Cena. However, Roman Reigns is still too big of an opponent for the 40-year-old. Reigns is currently on an undefeated streak and has become the fifth-longest WWE Championship holder. Cena himself has lost against Reigns both times he has faced him. Since Cena’s return, he is giving Knight the stage.

During SmackDown’s season premiere, Cena announced LA Knight as the next challenger for Reigns and endorsed him. Endorsed by and working alongside a star like Cena, who has been in the industry for over two decades, implies that he may have learned valuable insights.

These experiences could translate into a strong performance at Crown Jewel on 4 November, allowing him to shine in the spotlight. However, while the duo is definitely making strong progress together, it would not be very difficult for Knight to win more matches in the future.

However, his most recent victory against WWE’s most dominant factions does carry a lot of significance. While LA Knight chose to help John Cena on his own during Fastlane, the 16-time world champ is also returning the favor. Knight defeated Solo Sikoa not too long ago on SmackDown.

Cena is heavily invested in Knight and his growth at the moment and the two have come closer after Fastlane. Knight has defeated many other wrestlers too this year.
