The most controversial star in wrestling made his thunderous return to the WWE at Survivor Series WarGames. Fans were left dumbstruck when Punk’s music started playing on the jumbotron. They just couldn’t believe their eyes, as they had almost given up all hope. It’s been just 5 days since The Second City Saint made his comeback, but something called ‘PG Punk’ was trending all over the internet.

This happened after Punk made an appearance on RAW this Monday. We can attribute this phenomenon due to the antics of an AEW star.

MJF’s taunt of “PG Punk” trended on social media

Fans just couldn’t wait for CM Punk to come on the mic during the last episode of RAW. This was the first time the Chicago-based star made an appearance in a wrestling ring after being fired from AEW in September. Fans were expecting Punk to spit fire and also clear a few things out about his exit from AEW.

Unfortunately, according to fans, his promo seemed very mellow and corporate-friendly. It was very lackluster compared to the older fiery promos that Punk was known for delivering. As a result, PG Punk started trending on social media immediately after his appearance on RAW.

For people who don’t know, “PG Punk” was a term coined by MJF to irk Punk during their feud in AEW in 2021. Towards the end of the promo, Punk looked straight at the camera and said, “I’m not here to make friends. I’m here to make money”. Thus making it very clear that he has learned from his past mistakes and just wants to focus on his career right now.
