The Anoa’i family is undoubtedly the most decorated one in pro wrestling history. The stable has produced several acclaimed wrestlers, most of whom have been inducted into the prestigious Hall of Fame. From the time of The High Chief Peter Maivia, and Wild Samoans to Roman Reigns and The Usos, the Samoan lineage has been the proverbial golden goose that the WWE keeps on benefiting from.

Two of the most prominent members of the family are twins Jimmy and Jey Uso. The siblings have a combined 18 tag team titles and are considered to be one of the most dominant tag teams to have plied their trade in the Stamford-based promotion. But how did it all start for the brothers?

When you have dozens of cousins who have followed the family business and gained a reputation, it puts you in something of a dilemma. While it is easier to find references to get your big start, there’s also the fear of not being able to replicate the success of others in the family. Fortunately for Jimmy and Jey Uso, the second didn’t happen.

Sons of the legendary Rikishi, the 38-year-olds didn’t have to look too far to find inspiration. It was their Hall of Famer dad who introduced them to the business. Jimmy and Jey Uso made their main roster debut in 2010 on RAW. Since then, the duo have cemented their legacy with Jimmy winning 8 Tag team championships and younger twin Jey raking in 10 golds.

While Rikishi was done with wrestling actively by the time his sons lit up the pro wrestling world, the man who administered the Stink Face occasionally joined them in the ring. Once, he broke into his iconic jig with a young Jimmy and Jey Uso, enthralling millions of WWE fans.

While The Usos have fought side by side together for 13 years, 2023 saw them split. Rikishi, as reported, could play a pivotal role in the story that’s unfolding between his sons.

While Jimmy and Jey Uso’s feud might have shocked many fans, it would be wrong to say that it came unexpectedly. The brothers, earlier this year, had admitted facing one another inside the ring.

As per the twins, they would want to have a one-on-one match at WrestleMania in the future. This was still when Jimmy and Jey worked as a team. Not just the singles bout, the siblings also stated a special condition and wanted their father, Rikishi, to be the referee.

With Jimmy and Jey at loggerheads at the moment, there are rumors that the twins could face one another at WrestleMania 40, scheduled for April 6 and 7, 2024 at the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
