While the rivalry was scripted, the friendship wasn’t. Even when The American Nightmare’ and ‘The Viper’ shared different locker rooms after the former’s WWE walkout, their bond continued to grow stronger. In a recent video clip, Orton’s wife, Kim, expressed her love for Cody Rhodes.

Cody Rhodes is currently on cloud nine after beating ‘The Beast’ down in a dramatic SummerSlam bout. The former Intercontinental Champion buried a fuming Lesnar with three consecutive Cross Rhodes. However, Randy’s wife, Kim Orton, couldn’t wait that long to whoop it up as she already saw the prize coming for the 38-year-old.

As the son of a lauded Hall of Famer, Cody Rhodes has come far to get out of the shadow of his late father, Dusty Rhodes. His irresistible charisma and spectacular in-ring prowess gradually earned him the spot of a red-hot star in the promotion. Also, his theme song ‘Kingdom’, which perfectly upholds the entire story of a budding wrestler seeking fans’ endorsement, has been a major crowd catcher since its inception.

The Viper’s wife, Kim, used the same song to express her support for ‘The American Nightmare’ for the very first time. The better half of Randy Orton has been a big wrestling enthusiast even before her marital alliance with the marquee WWE superstar. The lady, in fact, first met Orton at a WWE show and developed a huge crush. Her love for wrestling was evident in the video.

Minutes before Rhodes stepped into the high-voltage SummerSlam bout, Kim was seen enjoying her “WHOAAAAAAAAAA” moment in the middle of the ocean.

Fans took it as a major hint of Randy Orton’s surprise return at SummerSlam, only to be disappointed later.

Randy Orton broke fans’ hearts by not returning at SummerSlam

‘The Apex Predator’ was expected to make a return at tonight’s SummerSlam. The recent news of him hitting the gym to get back into shape and turning up in the city of Detroit prompted fans to believe that the sidelined star was finally up for a return after almost one and a half years. But the reality proved to be far from this.

It came out that ‘The Viper’ was on a trip to Detroit with his wife Kim only to witness the WWE PLE, not to take part in it. A follow-up report stated that he’s still not medically cleared to wrestle. While it dismissed the popular buzz to some extent, some fans still expected his return. But Orton broke fans’ hearts by not showing up anywhere near the ring.
