Who Will Induct Muhammad Ali Into the WWE Hall of Fame 2024? Here Is Everything You Need to Know

WWE is revealing the names for the Hall of Fame batch of 2024 one by one. So far, the promotion had already announced four names this year. Now, they have officially announced that Muhammad Ali will also be inducted into the company’s prestigious Hall of Fame this year. To further calm down the wrestling fans, the same source also reported who would be the one to induct him into the HoF.

One of Muhammad Ali’s close family members will do the honors

This induction news was first revealed by Variety. The media house also reported, before the promotion made the announcement official, that Ali would be inducted by a close family member. The late former WWE guest referee’s widow, Lonnie Ali, will be inducting him in Philadelphia before WrestleMania 40 this year.

Muhammad Ali had a total of four wives in his lifetime. The dates of their marriage lives don’t overlap. However, his last wife Lonnie, whom he married in the year 1986. This was the longest that the boxing legend had stayed married for.

The marriage between the two lovers lasted three decades until Muhammad Ali took his last breath in the year 2016. After the world lost “The Greatest” due to an unspecified natural cause of death, Lonnie reportedly did not remarry and has not repeated her wedding vows again with anyone.

The love that Muhammad Ali left behind gives perfect reasoning for why Lonnie is being granted the honor to induct her late husband in the Hall of Fame.

This is the second time in a few weeks that WWE has honored the international boxing legend again. The first was when they included him as a playable character in WWE 2k24.

Exploring the other four names to be inducted this year

There have been no hints from the promotion that tell us how many inductees we are supposed to witness this year at WrestleMania 40. However, so far, we know of five names. With Muhammad Ali being the fifth, let’s recall the other four names too. At first, WWE started revealing the names when they first revealed Paul Heyman. After The Wise Man, the Stamford-based company also announced a Japanese wrestling legend to be inducted into the company’s Hall of Fame this year.

After these two, Triple H got on social media to share a clip from a virtual meeting where he announced two members of Bray Wyatt’s family to be inducted this year into the Hall of Fame.
